Feeling steely....

Working on updating the Glasswing website today, looking through photos, brought on a bit of a trip  down memory lane, to my time blacksmithing. Thoughts of days spent working in various rural idylls, days that started with early (REALLY EARLY!!) lighting of the forge, having a cup of tea, and then bashing bits of iron and steel about a lot, and then stopping for more tea, - elevensees at ....seven! and producing lots and lots of gorgeous hammered, blackened artifacts for hanging on walls, doors, grand old houses.....

 I think that's what inspired these beauties - Oxidised sterling silver rings, looking for all the world like bashed up steel.
