Glasswing Terms & Conditions

PAYMENT

Payment through Stripe or Paypal includes credit card options - just follow the prompts when you check out.

Cheques and transfers are accepted, ~ if you plan to pay by cheque or bank transfer, contact me by email or phone to place your order, rather than checking out in the usual way. All payments must have cleared before items can be sent out, or any custom work started.

Paypal / Stripe problems - If for some reason you have trouble checking out through Paypal (occasionally they experience glitches), contact me and I'll organise an alternative method of payment.

RETURNS/ EXCHANGE POLICY

I take great pride in every piece of jewellery I create, and want you to be totally satisfied with the items you buy from me. I also aim to ensure you have a 100% positive experience working with me. I am very approachable, so if you have any problems or queries at all, please feel free to contact me.

If your jewellery is faulty I will offer you a FULL REFUND upon return of the item.  Please let me know within 7 days of receipt and then you'll have a choice of returning the item (for a full refund), repair or alteration (no cost to you),  or you can exchange the item for something else.

In the case of a stock item, in the unlikely event that when you receive your jewellery, it is not what you expected, you can return it to me UNWORN and in its original packaging within 2 weeks of receipt. You can exchange it for another item, change the length of the chain for example, or get a refund.

If your order is personalised, I'm afraid you will not be able to exchange or refund it.  If it is faulty however repair or a refund options still apply.  If it is a customised design, depending upon the individual piece, it may be possible to exchange it.

I stand by my work 100%, and am confident you will love your jewellery.  Check out the lovely feedback from other customers.

CANCELLING AN ORDER

In the unlikely event that you need to cancel your order, please contact me as soon as you can and not later than 7 days after ordering.  Please ensure that you include all your details - name, address, the date and the item you ordered. Your order will then be cancelled and a full refund given, as long as custom work has not started.

*NOTE: If your order was a rush order and custom work has already started or materials have been ordered, being a small business, I will need to cover any costs (usually the price of delivery on materials where applicable) and so will retain a percentage of the payment - so to avoid this , if you need to cancel, please do it within 24 hours of ordering.

If an order for a 'ready made' piece is cancelled before it is posted out, the order will simply be cancelled and a full refund given.  Once it is sent out however, the RETURNS/EXCHANGE POLICY applies - please see above.

How will my jewellery be packaged?

All pieces will be placed in sustainable wooden or recycled card jewellery display boxes. These are then wrapped in recycled and reused packaging materials, and placed inside recycled card mailing boxes.

DELIVERY

All jewellery is sent within the UK via Royal Mail Special Delivery and the cost of this is included. Royal Mail Special Delivery has appropriate insurance to protect your purchase. Royal Mail require an adult signature for all special delivery packages. I’m sorry but we cannot send to a PO Box as all deliveries must be signed for.

Can I get jewellery sent to another address?

Yes, as long as there is someone over 18 there to sign on your behalf.

DELIVERY TIMES

I aim to post out ready-made jewellery within 3 working days, however usually your package will go out the next day. If the item says "made to order" or is a commission/special/customised item, I will give you a time quote when we agree and confirm your order together. I know you may have a deadline in mind, like a special trip during which you are hoping to propose, so if that is the case, I will do my very best to accommodate you as long as we agree this before work starts and my schedule will allow.

international shipping

International shipping is worked out on a case-by-case basis. Within Europe this is usually via Royal Mail or Parcel Force. Other destinations such as the United States and Australia, are delivered via courier, the cost of which you will be asked to cover prior to the shipment being sent to you. You will also most likely be liable for import duty and taxes, see below.

TAXES

You may be liable for duties and taxes and any other costs associated with the importing of your item once it arrives in your country. This is the responsibility of you the buyer to pay.

INSTALMENT PAYMENT

If you prefer to pay for your jewellery in instalments, it may be possible depending on the item. Contact me to discuss terms, arrangements and timescales during the ordering and confirmation process. Please note full payment must always be made before any jewellery is sent out.

BUYING A GIFT?

Each item of jewellery from Glasswing Jewellery will be sent to you in attractive recycled or sustainable packaging.  I can send it with a complimentary gift card if you request one via the contact form when you are checking out. Please ensure I have the name and address which your gift is to be sent to, otherwise I will automatically use the address you input when you place your order. Your receipt will be available online, and will not be included in your gift package.
