Back beach treasure

Do you know what this could be?

One of my favourite places for finding unusual driftwood and pieces of beachy treasure is on the point at Back Beach in Teignmouth.

It takes a keen eye to spot the treasure

The Teign river brings with it all sorts of interesting objects for the magpies amongst us and, with a keen eye, you can discover anything from the tiny bones of animals from the hedgerows along the way, hazelnuts and seeds, pieces of bottles and pottery.

This lovely chunky piece of glass hasn’t entirely been identified - if you have any ideas what it might be feel free to get in touch!
