Stealing time on the Salty
Whenever the tide retreats enough, and the sea lets us borrow the Teign estuary bed for a few short hours, it always feels just a little bit magical!
around here We call it the Salty
The shingly, shell-covered, half-riverbed-half-beach, is wrapped around pools of gorgeous clear water that Caspar loves lowering himself into, especially on a hot day. You do have to keep an eye on the tide, it sneaks back in unexpectedly cutting you off from the riverbank, which may be fine for dogs, but not great if you’re planning on heading into Shaldon for dinner overlooking the harbour!
