β€œ Just wanted to say thank you so much again. My fiancΓ©e is over the moon with the ring and absolutely loves it…the ring has made this weekend so special and we both couldn’t be happier” Jordan

When customers choose the ring they’d like made, it’s reassuring to know that they’re are able to have it exactly how they’d like it. That’s the beauty of having something made especially, and we’ve been helping customers achieve the design of their imagination for many years now.

The Glasswing sea glass collection is pretty damn vast, with sea glass from all over the Devon, Cornwall and the West Country, the UK and some further flung places too! I can’t go to a beach (or river!) anywhere without picking up at least a couple of pieces of glass or pottery - something I’m sure if you’re reading this can very much relate to, whether it’s you or someone you love!

Jordan wanted to get everything perfect for his fiancΓ©es engagement ring, so when he chose the Thea triple sea glass ring, he was determined to get the shade of olive sea glass just right, and he asked to see a some different pieces before making his choice.

Jordan’s Thea Sea Glass Engagement Ring

After a couple of emails exchanges, we narrowed down the depth and hue of the colour/s he was envisaging, and then the task was on to select a few likely candidates we have (and a couple of wildcards too, for contrast and serendipity’s sake) to photograph and send some images over to Jordan.

Wetting the sea glass is a great way to bring out the colours of the frosted pieces, making it easier to see them in photos. Jordan then chose the olive piece he liked best.

After it was cut and shaped for setting, the rounded, smooth oval nugget of sea glass that Jordan chose had an ever so slightly rounded surface. The curved surface does make it slightly trickier to set, but the finished result works really well.

The colour balances beautifully with the 14ct yellow gold, which has a slightly more subtle colour than 9 or 18ct golds, and it’s all set off with two sparkling recycled white diamonds either side of the sea glass, and a lighlty organic hammered band.

Great choice Jordan! Huge congratulations to you both, and thanks so much for sending your wonderful seaside proposal pictures! πŸ’šπŸŒŠ
